If you know me, or are a regular reader, you know I always say I have the best in-laws ever! Such a fun family, full of love and laughter. The latest party was this weekend, when Nathan’s Aunt Sharon turned 60, and dozens of her closest friends and family gathered to celebrate. (Remember when her older brother and my father-in-law, Dennis, turned 60? That was another fun party.)
We met in the small Southern Illinois town of Farina, where she grew up with Barbara and Herschel. Sharon asked me to document the evening and capture a portrait of her with her kids and grandson, Finley, who is possibly the squishiest, cutest Michelin Man baby ever. Enjoy a glimpse into the evening!
That’s Dennis and Jamie (Nathan’s parents) below on the left, with Aunt Patty and Uncle Dannie, who loves me, even though I am a Democrat. Patty is one of Dennis and Sharon’s sisters. On the bottom left are Herschel and Barbara, who’ve almost made it to 65 years of marriage now! Amazing.
The newest member of the family, Matthew, is seen below, in a sweet moment with his dad Josh, who is Nathan’s cousin. Matthew’s proud Grandma Janice is next to Josh; she is the 4th sibling among Dennis, Patty, and Sharon.
Janice coordinated most of the party details, including the funny centerpieces. (She also makes about 800 of the most the most delicious Christmas cookies every year.)
Miraculously, we managed to get the entire group into a single frame! Such a fun night, and it obviously meant so much to Sharon. It made everyone happy to see how happy she was the whole night!
Thank you, Sharon, for trusting me with this! We love you!
