Mother Nature gave us one last beautiful fall day this week in the BloNo area, and we took advantage of it, squeezing in another fall mini portrait session – in addition to last week’s – with this gorgeous family! We met on Illinois Wesleyan’s absolutely beautiful campus in Bloomington, IL, which I became familiar with while shooting the 2014 IWU homecoming festivities earlier this fall.
Mom, Kendra, is a new, good friend of mine. I met her through Katie, and Kendra also serves on the board at Rawley‘s awesome preschool, Wesley Bright Beginnings. I just adore this family, and I think you will, too.
My goal with mini’s is always to make it hard for the client to only pick 4 or 5 images…which is easy when a family is this cute and photogenic!
Kendra is a graphic designer, and she is designing the 2014 Ambuehl Family Christmas card….which if you are a regular, you know is a high-stakes effort. 🙂 So, stay tuned! They are going to be awesome! Bwahahaha!
Thanks, all! So fun to capture these for you…hope you love them. xoxo
** Note to local photographers – I asked for permission to conduct this session on IWU’s campus prior to our shoot; my contacts there said the university allows non-commercial shoots on their grounds anytime. However, I always err on the side of caution, and believe it’s wise to have permission in writing from someone with authority whenever shooting on private property. Despite being fully insured, this provides me another level of protection if anything goes awry. More on that whole insurance thing in a future post.
