Walton Signage, a San Antonio-based company, manufactured three electronic signs for the new Oklahoma City Whole Foods Grocery Store at the Triangle at Classen Curve. Recently, they commissioned me to create images showcasing their product to use in presentations to potential clients and for general marketing.
These images were captured on two different evenings, during the extremely narrow window of time during which the signs were illuminated and the sky wasn’t completely dark.
I arrived early, taping off camera positions, so that as soon as the lights went on, I could (literally) run from spot to spot before losing the blue twilight.
These images required a slow shutter speed, tiny apertures, tripod, cable release, a stool, and patience.
I arranged for a full moon to rise above the building just in time for the shot above. I have connections. 😉
I really enjoyed this project! Thank you, Walton Signage! It was a pleasure.
