When I was in Arizona recently, I spent a day up north in an attempt to escape the Phoenix heat and get some portraits for my sister’s family. (Perk of having sister photographer -> regular photo sessions. Lucky siblings, right? :))
We began at Mortimer Farms in Dewey, AZ. Arizona natives: remember Young’s Farm? Young’s Farm recently changed ownership, and is now owned by the Mortimer family (who, by the way, graciously allowed me to haul in my pro gear and shoot on their property without prior permission or any fees whatsoever! Thank you!) Nothing says “fall” like being on a farm!
The farm offers the BEST corn I have EVER tasted. During our hay ride, the driver pulled over and let us wander through the corn fields to pick a few ears, which we promptly ate. Well, most of us. Sam used the corn as a sword.
Sam is allll boy and full of energy and personality. Hannah loves modeling, and had lots of ideas for poses. So, between the two of them, we got some keepers, especially after continuing on to Prescott, which is full of photogenic nooks.
