Ryan and Natalie (Bricktown Portrait Session)

>

This weekend, my brother and his beautiful, charming Natalie flew in from Phoenix to spend a few days relaxing with us at the “Ambuehl B&B.” πŸ™‚  I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to shoot portraits around Bricktown and some of OKC’s surrounding industrial areas since I went scouting around the OKC Boathouse District and found interesting scenes along the railroad tracks.  So, I was excited Ryan and Natalie were up for it, despite 90 degree heat (boo)!

As adults, Ryan and I have been really close. He is 9 years younger than our older sister Heather, and 6 1/2 years younger than me, so we weren’t as close growing up (he was only 12 when I left for college). Over the past decade, though, our tight bond has meant so much to me. It means even more to me now see him so happy and yes, **in looovveeee.**

Ryan, a long-time Guinness devotee, had to have a shot or two in front of this giant Guinness poster to pay homage to his trusty friend. πŸ™‚

These two photograph so, so well. (Seriously, Natalie, maybe you missed your career in modeling.) And since I love them so much, what greater joy is there for a photographer? Lucky me!

Natalie is amazing – warm, caring, and funny, with sparkling eyes and the most contagious smile.

Aren’t they so cute?

Dear Afternoon Sun: Thank you for setting up such a nice hair light for me.

See what I mean about Natalie’s modeling abilities? Smokin’!

Ryan and Natalie, thanks for letting me drag you around in the heat! I hope you enjoy these portraits for a long time; that they will bring back great memories of our fun weekend together and the butterflies-in-stomach-excitement of your new love. I know there are many more good memories ahead for you guys!

Love you both!! Come back soon!

About Mosaic Collective, LLC

I am Holly Baumann Ambuehl, founding member of Mosaic Collective, LLC, which was founded in early 2017 and is based in Central Illinois. I own and operate Mosaic Collective with my partner in business and life, my husband, Nathan. Mosaic Collective, LLC houses our rental property, my consulting contracts (with the nonprofit and public sectors on various work), and also my commercial and portrait photography business, which has been doing business as Holly Baumann Photography since 2008 long before the formation of our LLC. My blog posts feature client work, but I just love to write, so I also write about owning a business, food and drink, travel, and sometimes, my personal life! I am always honored when clients trust me to capture their vision, and equally so when my readers converse with me about what I've photographed or expressed here. I hope we'll have an opportunity to collaborate professionally and/or become friends. I'd love to hear what you think! - Holly
