After wrapping up at the Hard Rock Casino, our next stop in the Tulsa area was the Broken Arrow Public Schools Performing Arts Center. The Performing Arts Center, the gorgeous structure shown above, houses a new board room for district meetings (below). R2W, Inc. installed the panel of microphones and laptops where the board members are seated in front, flat screens around the room, the sound board and controls in the rear, and the video camera system.
My host for the day, Chad, is pictured below. Chad was really helpful and involved while I worked; so much so, that he periodically tried to outdo my photos with his iPhone. 🙂 Chad and his colleagues are the ones that design, engineer and install the sophisticated systems that go into venues like this one. In fact, companies like R2W sometimes come up with totally new products to meet the goals of a specific project. (They’re really smart.)
By the time we finished shooting inside the conference room, the sun had just set, making it was the perfect time of day for dramatic architectural shots of the Center – which was part of what R2W asked me to capture. I started with the interior main lobby:
I love how cameras can see color that the human eye does not. In the image below, that post-sunset blue just shines through. To my eyes, the sky looked, well, just really dark.
Next up for R2W is a series of locations in Dallas! Stay tuned.
